AC Milan is experiencing a particularly intense end of the transfer window. After having profoundly reshaped its organization during the summer and entrusted the keys to the sporting project to Rúben Amorim, the Lombard club continues to work to offer its new coach a workforce capable of meeting his ambitions. The Rossoneri have already hit hard with the arrivals of Gonçalo Ramos, Mario Gila and Diego Moreira, while several departures have also enlivened the last few weeks. The Santiago Giménez file, expected from Porto, has yet to be formalized, but Milan does not plan to stop there in its quest for reinforcements.

The latest identified needs are now clearly established. Milan still want to get their hands on a central defender and a left winger in order to complete the Amorim group. In this home stretch, Jorge Mendes appears to be a particularly important actor. The powerful Portuguese agent has already played a major role in several Milan operations this summer, notably for Gonçalo Ramos and Diego Moreira, but also in the departure of Rafael Leão to Galatasaray. His influence could once again be used to unlock certain avenues. Alejandro Baldé, Gonçalo Inácio and Leny Yoro are among the players linked to his entourage who may interest Milanese leaders, even if the files present very different levels of feasibility.

A base for Yoro?

It is precisely the name of Leny Yoro which causes a new rebound in the last hours of the transfer window. According to TuttosportAC Milan could try their luck for the French defender of Manchester United on the gong. The player’s profile necessarily appeals to the Rossoneri, who are specifically looking for reinforcement in the center and also know his qualities very well through Amorim. The Portuguese technician worked with Yoro at Manchester United and therefore knows his potential perfectly. His situation could thus be monitored until the last hours of the market, when the English club would be likely to listen to an important proposal for a player whose value is estimated around 50 million euros. Be careful, however, not to move too quickly in this matter.

At this stage, there are no negotiations between AC Milan and Manchester United for Leny Yoro, who starts on the bench this Sunday against Ipswich. This is an avenue to watch rather than an advanced transfer, with Jorge Mendes potentially playing intermediate if Milan decide to accelerate. The Rossoneri also have to deal with several other defensive files, with Gonçalo Inácio remaining a particularly popular target due to his knowledge of Amorim and his profile. However, time is running out and the final hours of the transfer window could hold some surprises. Milan want to further strengthen their defense and, even if no discussions are underway today for Yoro, the Frenchman’s name could well resurface as the market prepares to close.
