Jonathan David could leave Juventus just one year after arriving in Turin. According to Fabrizio RomanoAtlético de Madrid, looking for a new striker, contacted Juve to find out the conditions of a possible transfer of the Canadian international. There is currently no official offer or negotiation between the two clubs, but this first call confirms Madrid’s interest. Juventus, for its part, is willing to let David leave this summer if it receives a proposal deemed satisfactory. A situation which could quickly evolve as the Italian club itself seeks to recruit a new center forward.

The Canadian indeed finds himself in a very complicated situation under the orders of Luciano Spalletti. Already ahead of Randal Kolo Muani in the hierarchy, David now has very little playing time. The Italian coach had notably publicly criticized him for being “ too nice » on the ground and not “ not hurt enough “. His failure to come into play against Frosinone, despite Juventus’ offensive difficulties, further illustrated his downgrade. After a successful 2026 World Cup with Canada, the former Lille player could therefore look for a way out before the transfer window closes, and Atlético now appears to be a concrete avenue.
