The two Brazilians know each other well having played together with the Brazilian selection. Neymar also knows perfectly well what awaits Jesus in Catalonia since he wore the Barça jersey for four seasons, notably winning the Champions League in 2015, before joining PSG in 2017 for the record amount of 222 million euros.
Gabriel Jesus has signed up with FC Barcelona until June 2029 and takes back number 9. After having explored the Julián Álvarez track for a long time and studied other profiles, including Harry Kane, Lautaro Martínez and João Pedro, Barça finally chose the 29-year-old striker. The Brazilian is coming off a season complicated by a serious knee injury and had only played 13 Premier League games after his return in December, for only two starts and two goals. With 64 caps and 19 goals with Brazil, Jesus now arrives in Catalonia with the ambition to relaunch himself, accompanied by the encouragement of his former teammate in the selection.
