Barça: Hansi Flick reveals his plan with Gabriel Jesus

Arriving in the final hours of the transfer window from Arsenal for around 11 million euros, Gabriel Jesus could already take his first steps in the FC Barcelona jersey against Valencia on Sunday (4:15 p.m.). The 29-year-old Brazilian striker, signed until 2029, still lacks rhythm after a last season during which he only started three times in the Premier League.

Hansi Flick was nevertheless very satisfied with his first sessions with the Catalan group. “I was really happy with what I saw in training. He’s not 100% yet, but he can play a few minutes. He could come on in the second half, but he is fully ready. He doesn’t lose his means in front of the goal”explained the Barça coach. Gabriel Jesus should therefore start on the bench against Valencia, with the possibility of playing his first minutes in the second half.
