A Chelsea star is already thinking of slamming the door because of Xabi Alonso

The season has started quite well for Chelsea. The Blues have won their two Premier League matches played so far – in addition to a League Cup match against Luton – and are therefore joint leaders of the English championship, with Arsenal, Manchester City and Hull City. Successful debut for Xabi Alonso therefore, even if obviously, it is at the end of the season that we will have to take stock. What is certain, however, is that the Blues have put the means on the table to spoil the Spanish coach.

In total, the London club spent more than 400 million euros this summer, including 138 million euros on Morgan Rogers, 60 million on Maxence Lacroix and 57 million on Marc Palestra. Tired of missing out on the top of the English championship in recent years, Chelsea decision-makers have therefore pulled out all the stops. Even if it is also necessary to point out certain departures of executives, such as Enzo Fernandez or Marc Cucurella, respectively leaving for Manchester City and Real Madrid. But obviously, who says new coach, new cycle and mass arrivals also says players who lose their place.

He is very worried

As indicated ESPNEstêvão is worried. He thinks he will play very little under Xabi Alonso, and this start of the season seems to prove him right. He only played a few minutes on matchday one against Fulham, and didn’t even come on as a substitute against Brighton. He had certainly played against Luton in the League Cup, but it is usual for coaches to rotate in these matches against teams from lower divisions. The 19-year-old striker, who played 22 Premier League games (including 12 starts and 2 goals) before getting injured, faces strong competition, whether up front, in a more backward position or on one side.

To the point where, still according to ESPN, he is already thinking about his future. Arriving at Stamford Bridge for 60 million euros only a year ago, the player trained at Palmeiras is already thinking about leaving, and would have let his loved ones know that if he does not have playing time, he will try to leave during the winter transfer window. A delicate matter to manage for Xabi Alonso therefore, and a potential good deal for many clubs in Europe…
