If LOSC has mainly been talked about in the direction of departures this summer, with the XXL sale of Ayyoub Bouaddi for €100 million to Manchester City and the still uncertain future of Matías Fernández-Pardo, the Mastiffs have still completed their fourth recruit of the transfer window. And what a surprise! After Loun Srdanovic, Basar Önal and Tanguy Nianzou, Olivier Letang’s club announced the arrival on loan of Dilane Bakwa (23 years old). As we have confirmed to you, the French right winger has signed up for the entire 2026/2027 season on loan from Nottingham Forest.

The attacking midfielder, French Espoirs international, joins the Mastiffs in the form of a season-long loan », indicated the residents of Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Despite approaches from several European clubs (Hull City, Ipswich, Fiorentina), Bakwa chose to wear the Lille jersey, convinced by the project presented by the new northern coach, Davide Ancelotti.
Bakwa already back in Ligue 1
The player trained at Girondins de Bordeaux returns to France, after only one season spent at Nottingham Forest. In a team which experienced many upheavals last season and which came very close to relegation to the Championship, the native of Créteil played 24 matches with the Reds, including only 14 in the Premier League (552 minutes played). He has not scored a single goal in the jersey of the residents of the City Ground. If his English adventure went badly, Bakwa nevertheless made his mark in Ligue 1, under the colors of Strasbourg.
The former Strasbourg captain played 71 matches there for a total of 12 goals and 21 assists. During the 2024/2025 season, he was one of the strong men of the RCSA squad, coached at that time by Liam Rosenior, with eight offerings in the championship, a captain’s role and a 7th place which led to qualification in the Conference League via the play-offs. Appearing in 76 matches in Ligue 1 (10 goals and 18 assists), Bakwa will strengthen the Mastiffs’ attack and will at the same time discover the Champions League for the first time in his career.
