Jamal Musiala will not participate in Bayern Munich’s match against Stuttgart, Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the opening of the Bundesliga. Vincent Kompany confirmed this Thursday the absence of the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, while giving reassuring news on his state of health after the absences he suffered during summer preparation. “ Jamal is fine. He will be with the team in training today, but will not be in the squad for tomorrow “, explained the Bavarian coach. Musiala is responding well to the adaptation of his treatment and his return will be gradual, without a specific date being brought forward. “ At some point he will be here again. We make decisions hand in hand with all the experts », added Kompany.

Musiala himself explained on Instagram that he suffered from a neurological dysfunction causing these episodes of absence. Bayern then clarified that they had been aware of this problem since last season and indicated that a recent change in their treatment had led to side effects. The club therefore remains cautious with its player despite the positive developments in the situation and prefers not to take any risks for the resumption of the championship. Musiala can now train with his partners, but will still have to wait before returning to competition.
