Tottenham lost at Hotspur Stadium, against Newcastle (0-2), on the second day of the Premier League.

Two matches and as many defeats. Spurs could hardly have started the Premier League season worse.

After falling heavily at Brentford last weekend (3-0), Roberto De Zerbi’s men lost again in the league, this time against Newcastle. Anthony Elanga (62nd) and Yoann Wissa (72nd) scored the two goals for the Magpies. Tottenham temporarily occupies the bottom place, while their visitors of the day climb to the third step of the podium.
