Summer track for Olympique de Marseille last summer, Joel Ordonez (22 years old) ultimately stayed at FC Bruges. The Ecuadorian central defender was invaluable in winning the Belgian championship title and reaching the play-offs of the last Champions League. The Guayaquil native who still has three years left on his contract with the Belgian club is considered one of Aston Villa’s main options to replace Ezri Konsa who joined Arsenal.

According to The Athleticthe Villans tried to attract Taylor Harwood-Bellis (24 years old) but suffered two refusals from Southampton. Aston Villa have offered a loan with an obligation to purchase 30 million euros to FC Brugge for Joel Ordonez. It now remains to be seen how the Belgian team will respond.
