This summer, Liverpool enters a new era. Arne Slot was fired and replaced by Andoni Iraola, the coach chosen to embody the Anfield residents’ project. A fine connoisseur of the Premier League, the Spaniard is counting on the transfer window to adjust his squad and achieve his objectives. In particular, he hopes to be able to get his hands on Bradley Barcola, even if the negotiations look tense with PSG. The French club is not closed to the departure of the Frenchman, who wants to join the Reds. But they want between €160 and €170 million for their striker. Liverpool believe this amount is too high and hope to complete the deal for much less. At the same time, the English also followed the trail leading to Ibrahim Mbaye. They have also made good progress in strengthening their defense. To everyone’s surprise, they finalized the arrival of Ronald Araujo (FC Barcelona), in the form of a loan with a purchase option of €55 million. Less spending than last summer when they spent more than €500 million, the Reds will still go all out in the transfer window during this month of August.

They may be able to count on new investors. Last July, Sky Sports revealed that Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, was approached by a consortium of investors to invest in Liverpool and acquire approximately 30% of the shares belonging to Fenway Sports Group. Since then, not much has been published on the subject. But this Monday, Sky Sports reveals new juicy information on this issue. Thus, the English publication reveals that Jeff Bezos is on the verge of reaching an agreement to acquire a significant minority stake in Liverpool. He is accompanied by another businessman, namely Eduardo Saverin. He is the co-founder of Facebook. Sky Sports adds that optimism is in order and that Fenway Sports Group, current owner of the English club, could even make an announcement during the week. Contacted by the English media, the group and Liverpool did not wish to react publicly. With new powerful and solid shareholders, the LFC is still preparing to take a step forward if this operation is successfully completed.
