Back to school is approaching. Tuesday, The Evening Team will make its comeback on the air. A particularly anticipated recovery after the numerous changes announced in recent weeks, including the departure of several historical columnists.
“It’s the holidays for us, friends! Simply, a few words to thank for services rendered, for their intelligence, for the joy of sharing a moment of sport with them, Johan Micoud and Éric Blanc whom I salute in a low voice, as well as Régis Testelin”confided Olivier Ménard when going on air for the last time of the season, on July 20.
However, Johan Micoud, Éric Blanc and Régis Testelin will not be the only ones missing. The show is also parting ways with Raymond Domenech, Régis Brouard and Jérôme Alonzo. Several historical journalists, including Guillaume Dufy, Hervé Penot, Bernard Lions, Grégory Schneider, Philippe Sanfourche, Dominique Séverac and Sébastien Tarrago, have also left the program.
The show will also evolve in its format. The role of president disappears and a new setting will appear on Tuesday. With these changes, the channel notably displays a clear desire: to strengthen the female presence around the table. The objective was also announced in July by Vincent Broussard. “We must aim for parity, be very proactive and I decided to be so”then explained the boss of the chain in the columns of The Team.
Nicole Abar will discover television
Virginie Sainsily and Pia Clémens have thus been retained and will still be present at the start of the school year. But two new columnists will also join the set of The Evening Team : former athlete Héloïse Kane and ex-professional footballer Nicole Abar. For the latter, this will mark a first experience on television. An arrival which, however, does not seem to worry Maël Seror, editorial director of
The Team Channelparticularly enthusiastic at the idea of welcoming him.
“She is full of energy, she follows football thoroughly and she has a cheeky attitude, with her little South-West accent. She still participates in granny football tournaments, she’s a real character. She has never done TV but she is very motivated! »he confided in the columns of The Team. Her first steps as a columnist will therefore be particularly scrutinized.
