The turnaround that no one saw coming finally arrived in the Yan Diomandé case. While he seemed to be heading towards Paris Saint-Germain, a club with which an agreement had been reached on the terms of a five-year contract, the Ivorian international (14 caps) finally snubbed the Parisian club to join Real Madrid. The former Leganés player signed a contract until 2033 to become the most expensive player in the history of Real Madrid, ahead of Jude Bellingham.

From Léganés to Real Madrid in one year
