AS Roma to recruit Santiago Castro from Bologna

AS Roma has been seeking to strengthen offensively since the start of the transfer window but is struggling to complete its files, like Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville, who left for Fenerbahçe and Al-Hilal respectively. The Louve club has therefore reoriented itself towards the Serie A market, and according to Sky Italiareached an agreement for the transfer of Santiago Castro, 21-year-old striker.

The Argentinian had been playing for Bologna for two and a half years and had scored 7 goals in Serie A last season. AS Roma sent an offer of €35 million, plus bonuses, with a percentage of 10% on a possible resale. And that’s not all, since Roma are sending Castro’s replacement to Bologna at the same time. The Ukrainian Artem Dovbyk is in fact loaned to Bologna for the 2026-2027 season.
