Borussia Dortmund did not take long to find the successor of Karim Adeyemi, who left for FC Barcelona for 22 million euros. According to Sky Germanythe Ruhr club has reached an agreement with Genk for the arrival of Konstantínos Karétsas (18 years old). The Greek international (10 caps) will commit to the German vice-champion until 2031, against 32 million euros and a percentage in the event of future resale.
Trained at La Gantoise, the Belgian by birth was spotted in 2015 by the Belgian club. After leaving for the Anderlecht training center in 2020, Karétsas returned to Genk in 2023 before playing his first professional minutes, at the age of 15, a year later. Between 2024 and 2026, Karétsas played 92 games with Genk, scoring six goals and providing 23 assists.
