Olympique Lyonnais is on the verge of concluding a nice deal. As revealed by our information, the Rhone club has already reached an agreement with Juventus for the loan of Loïs Openda. The Belgian striker will thus land in the capital of Gaul as part of a loan with an option to buy. And this even though the player had already given his agreement to OL a few days earlier.

After a season with 2 goals in 34 appearances under the tunic of Juventus, Openda comes to strengthen the Lyon offensive sector which needed new faces, particularly after the return of Endrick to Real Madrid. OL and Juve will share responsibility for the player’s salary, who was followed by other teams in Ligue 1 – Monaco, Rennes, Lens – as well as in the Premier League.

Openda confirms

And the main person concerned confirmed his departure for OL. Before the friendly match between Standard and Juventus, he was questioned by DAZN Belgiumwho notably asked him why he did not play this match. “We are in the process of preparing a transfer, so we didn’t want to take any risks today, that anything might happen. I wanted to preserve myself”indicated the 26-year-old striker.

“It’s important to find playing time for me, I want to play, to score, unfortunately it didn’t go very well this last season. It was important for me to find a place where I could flourish and have playing time, and also for the national team”he confided. However, he did not want to directly quote OL, but gave obvious clues. “I think we’ll know in a few days, but it’ll be something good. Yes, it can be in France as elsewhere. Blue and white? There is white in any case! »he confirmed with a smile.
