This summer, Real Madrid is in the process of having a colossal transfer window. The Merengues do not hesitate to invest to offer a quality squad to José Mourinho, and that the Special One sets out to reconquer Spain and Europe with an ultra-quality group. And if the Madrilenians can invest so much this summer, it is also because they are in the process of recovering enormous sums thanks to their training center.

In total, between the sale of players present at the club and the transfers of players for which Real Madrid still retained 50% of the rights, the club recovered almost 200 million euros this summer. And it’s not over, since Jacobo Ramon (Como) or Sergio Arribas (Almeria) should also bring in nice checks. A unique model, which proves to be very effective and prolific.

Copy the Madrid model

And FC Barcelona wants to take inspiration from it. Aware of the quality of La Masia’s young players, Barça intend to emulate their nemesis and start using them to fill the coffers. This is what the Cadena SERwho explains that the Catalan club will now keep 50% of the rights that it will sell.

And it will start with the departure of Jofre Torrents, the young full-back who should head towards Ajax. This is a loan with a purchase option of 5 million euros. If it is lifted and he remains at Ajax permanently, Barça will retain 50% of his rights as well as a buyout option of 20 million euros. And this will now be the standard for all home trained players who are sold. A way to ensure additional income in the medium term, or even to be able to repatriate them more easily if they explode and Barça wanted to bring them back. Clever !
