Having just been eliminated with England by Argentina (2-1) in the semi-final of the World Cup, Marcus Rashford sees his future coming back into the news. The 28-year-old striker, who returned to Manchester United from FC Barcelona where he had been on loan, did not see the Blaugrana club exercise the purchase option of 30 million euros. Still under contract with the Red Devils until June 2028, he had a departure clause of 47 million euros, but the latter expired according to The Athletic.
From now on, to recruit Marcus Rashford, you will have to go to the negotiating table. A situation which does not necessarily help things since Manchester United now expects a prolonged summer transfer window for the player with an outcome which could arrive late. The player reportedly refused lucrative offers. Performing last season with 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 matches, Marcus Rashford is waiting to bounce back.
