Real Madrid’s second attempt will probably be the deal. After a first offer of €100 million refused in recent hours by RB Leipzig for Yan Diomandé, we are able to tell you that the two clubs are on the verge of reaching an agreement. The two departments are working on a transfer worth around €120 million, bonus included. The player has already given the green light to join the Spanish capital.

As explained in recent hours, the Merengues see in the Ivorian an element capable of shining on both sides of the attack. His qualities allow changing the rhythm of an action and that is what José Mourinho wants to see. The latter demanded from his management that he needed “even more speed» in the offensive zone. It remained to convince the German club to transfer him and beat the competition, notably embodied by PSG.

Real used Olise to finalize Diomandé

The reigning European champion was even the priority of last season’s revelation in the Bundesliga. An agreement had been reached with the player and the file seemed to be off to a good start, only no agreement could be reached with RB Leipzig. The latter demanded €120 to €130 million and suggested that he wanted to keep Diomandé for one more season in the form of a loan. In these conditions, it is difficult to complete the deal. PSG preferred to withdraw, refusing to overpay.

For his part, A.S. adds that Real Madrid showed discretion by lighting a lot of counter-fires around Michael Olise. Taking advantage of persistent rumors surrounding the Bayern Munich attacking midfielder, management went to Germany in recent days to finalize the transfer of Diomandé. It remains to find a salary agreement with the Ivorian international but that should not pose a problem as his claims are less than those of a player of Olise’s caliber.
