Newcastle: big cold spell for Arsenal in the Bruno Guimarães case

Arsenal dreamed of making a big move in midfield with Bruno Guimarães, but the reality of the matter is very different. According to The Telegraphthe Gunners initially believed that an offer in the region of £50 million could be enough to convince Newcastle to let their captain leave. But the club from the north of England never intended to sell their Brazilian international at this price and now consider that their player is worth almost double.

The leaders of Newcastle would in fact claim compensation close to 100 million pounds sterling, an amount comparable to that paid by Tottenham to recruit Sandro Tonali. If Bruno Guimarães is in favor of a departure for Arsenal, where he would find the Champions League and a candidate for the Premier League title, he does not intend to enter into conflict with his club, despite his desire to join the Gunners. Arsenal must now decide between returning with a significantly increased offer or definitively abandoning this avenue…
