At 24, Michael Olise reached a milestone at Bayern Munich (42 goals, 54 assists in 107 matches). This summer, the French winger was one of the main players in the Blues’ campaign at the 2026 World Cup. Semi-finalist and best passer of the tournament, Olise displayed a great bond with his captain Kylian Mbappé. And the latter also took advantage of it.
As we revealed to you, Olise now wants to join Real Madrid and if he was seduced by Casa Blanca, it is partly thanks to the persuasion work carried out by the Bondynois. Since then, Olise’s every move has been scrutinized in Germany. However, Bayern Munich does not intend to give in so easily. The Bavarian club is undoubtedly well aware of its winger’s desires elsewhere, but the latter is under contract until 2029 and the Munich leaders still hope to extend it.
Bayern anticipate Olise departure
To snatch the London native from Bayern, Real Madrid knows that it will be necessary to put at least €150 million on the table. Currently, the Spanish press assures that it is unlikely to see the Merengues offer the Frenchman this summer, even if the transfer window can always reserve big surprises. In the meantime, Bayern know that if they manage to retain Olise this summer, there is a good chance they won’t be able to do so in a year’s time. The Parisian winger does not play on the right flank or in the number 10 position, as Olise does, but his impactful winger profile has obviously been identified as the suitable solution. German interest in the former Lyonnais is not new, but Bayern is waiting to see how this matter develops. As a reminder, Barcola is linked to PSG until 2028 and has still not extended. Courted by Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, the Parisian questions his future in the French capital because of his status as a luxury substitute, particularly in the Champions League. And after Bildif Barcola does not extend and Olise leaves Bayern in a year, Bayern will try to take advantage of the Frenchman’s contractual situation to recruit him at a more affordable price than the €150 million requested by the Rouge et Bleu.
