Chelsea announce the arrival of a player recruited for €52 million in 2025

On March 19, 2025, Chelsea announced the arrivals of the two nuggets from Sporting Portugal, Dario Essugo (21 years old) and Geovany Quenda (19 years old) in exchange for €74 million (€22 million for Essugo, €52 million for Quenda). However, the Blues had left both players at their respective clubs.

But this summer, it’s time for Quenda to arrive in London. “Chelsea are pleased to announce that Geovany Quenda has joined the club from Sporting Lisbon, signing a contract valid until 2034”.
