Stade Rennais seals Eliezer Mayenda for €25M

The summer is already hectic at Stade Rennais. The Breton club already had 5 recruits with the free arrivals of Issa Soumaré (Le Havre), Adrien Thomasson (RC Lens) and Nicolas Lemaître (Troyes) but also the arrivals of Gonçalo Oliveira (Benfica) and Arnaud Nordin (Mainz). The sixth of the last Ligue 1 season has just strengthened in the offensive sector.

As revealed by us, Stade Rennais has completed the arrival of Eliezer Mayenda. A transfer estimated at 25 million euros with a fixed portion of 22 million euros which makes it the third biggest transfer from the Breton club after Amine Gouiri (€28 million) and Jérémy Doku (€26 million). An interesting bet which will allow Sochaux, its training club, to obtain 20% of the added value.

Return to France for Eliezer Mayenda

Promising striker, trained in Sochaux before being seasoned in the games of Anglo-Saxon football, Eliezer Mayenda, 21, joins Stade Rennais FC The Spanish international Espoirs, nicknamed Big Man, has signed up until 2031 with the club from the Breton capital», announced the Breton club in a press release.

Born in Zaragoza and arrived in France at the age of 8 with stints at Breuillet FC and CS Brétigny before joining the Sochaux training center, Eliezer Mayenda left Doubs in 2023 for Sunderland. An adventure which allowed him to shine in the Championship (10 goals and 5 assists in 40 matches) and to discover the Premier League during the last financial year. A more complicated passage with 2 goals in 23 appearances.
