Everton are holding their new recruit. The Toffees have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the permanent transfer of Tyrique George. The operation is estimated at €28 million, of which approximately €21 million will be paid immediately, while the total amount could reach €28 million thanks to various bonuses. Chelsea have also negotiated a 15% clause on a future resale of their 20-year-old winger, reports Sky Sports.

Loaned to Everton last season, George played 11 games for the Toffees without scoring a single goal or providing an assist. The Liverpool club had let its purchase option expire in order to renegotiate the terms of the operation, a choice which ultimately led to a definitive agreement between the two teams.
