The future of Zuriko Davitashvili seems to be written far from Saint-Étienne. Under contract with ASSE until 2028, the Georgian international wants to take advantage of this summer transfer window to take a step forward and join a club playing at the highest European level.
According to Green Peoplethe 25-year-old asked his managers for an exit voucher. A request heard by Ivan Gazidis and Kilmer Sports, who are not opposed to a departure. As with Lucas Stassin, the Greens are open to a sale but not at any price.
Still according to the specialized media, the Saint-Etienne leaders have set their conditions. The club that would like to recruit Zuriko Davitashvili will have to pay at least 20 million euros, almost double its value estimated by Transfermarkt (12 million euros).
ASSE cools everyone down
For the moment, Atalanta, Besiktas and Olympiakos have received information on the matter, without going any further. ASSE’s demands cool the contenders and block discussions.
A strategy which is, however, not without risks. Davitashvili hopes to leave Forez this summer and does not want the requested amount to scare away all interested clubs. To date, the case is completely at a standstill and there is no sign that it will be resolved immediately.
