Three days before the resumption of training, work has not yet progressed at Juventus. Despite the arrival of Giovanni Carnevali at the head of the sporting project and the desire of Luciano Spalletti to accelerate the transfer window in recent days, the Bianconeri have still not completed the two files considered priorities: that of a goalkeeper and that of a center forward. A meeting between Carnevali, technical director Frédéric Massara and the Italian technician made it possible to take stock, without resolving the situation.

In the cages, the priority is Emiliano Martínez to replace Michele Di Gregorio, recruited last summer after a sparkling season at Monza, but who has not really reassured. Juventus managed to find an agreement in principle with the Argentine goalkeeper, seduced by the Turin project. On the other hand, negotiations with Aston Villa are slipping. The English club does not intend to sell off its goalkeeper, while the Old Lady refuses to significantly revise its offer upwards. In the event of failure, Guglielmo Vicario appears to be the main plan B studied by the leaders, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Luciano Spalletti gets annoyed

But nothing is yet finalized for the other options for the goalkeeper position. In attack, Luciano Spalletti insists on finding Randal Kolo Muani. The French international also wants to return to Turin, where he left a good impression during his previous visit. But here again, the discussions are blocked. Paris Saint-Germain is demanding 50 million euros to sell its striker and, as we revealed, the matter has once again bogged down in recent days due to the significant financial constraints weighing on the Turin club.

Time is now starting to run out for the Bianconeri, while Parisian management has officially opened discussions to other teams. The recovery is imminent and, for the moment, only the young Ekhator has come to strengthen the squad. Before being able to accelerate arrivals, Juventus will also have to make several sales in order to free up cash, which has not yet been completed. Spalletti is still waiting for his two star recruits, but the Bianconeri plans are not going as planned…
