The transfer had been in effect for several months, it is now official. Liverpool confirmed this Wednesday the recruitment of Jérémy Jacquet, who leaves Stade Rennais to commit long-term to the Reds as part of an operation estimated at 70 million euros. Only 20 years old, the French central defender, trained in Brittany and author of 33 appearances with the Rennes first team, is preparing to discover the Premier League by joining one of the biggest European clubs. The young player delivered his first words, and notably returned to his serious injury.

“I feel really good. First impressions are very good and I am very happy to start this adventure here. When I discovered the facilities, I immediately thought about it. I feel good here and I can’t wait to get started. For me, joining a club like Liverpool is a huge dream. It’s a very big club and the sporting project immediately convinced me. I think we made the right choice and I really feel at home here. My shoulder is much better. I resumed work on the field as well as individual training. The surgeons even gave me their agreement to resume group sessions, but we preferred not to take any risks. I will continue my work throughout the summer in order to be 100% ready for the recovery”explained the former Stade Rennais player.
