Alejandro Grimaldo wants to leave Bayer Leverkusen

It was announced by the Spanish media for several days, and it is now official: Alejandro Grimaldo will join Atlético de Madrid after this 2026 World Cup. The 30-year-old left back will thus leave Leverkusen to strengthen the club in the Spanish capital, which was looking for reinforcement in defense and bet on the Spanish international.

“Atlético de Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alejandro Grimaldo, who signs with our club until June 30, 2030”indicates the official colchonero press release. The amount of the operation has not been publicly revealed but it should be around 15 million euros according to the Iberian media.
