This is an operation that no one saw coming. While the Catalan press explained in recent hours that Barça had completed the Cancelo deal and that all management efforts were focused on Julian Alvarez (Atlético de Madrid), a small bombshell fell: the Spanish champion is heading towards Karim Adeyemi, the German striker from Borussia Dortmund.
All Spanish media confirm, and even explain, that the main person concerned has already given the green light to join Catalonia, while his compatriot Hansi Flick has also validated this operation. The German tactician would greatly appreciate the profile of the 24-year-old player, who is experiencing a bit of a slump, with 10 goals and 6 assists in 39 matches last season.
A substantial price
Sport says a little more and now reveals the price asked by the Bundesliga team: 40 million euros. A significant sum for a player who is not going through his best moment, and who, above all, is at the end of his contract in a year. As the media explains, Barça does not want to spend so much money, and could include players in the operation.
