This is the great story of the day in Italy. Inter Milan have announced the recruitment of Aleksandar Stankovic, one of the sons of Dejan Stankovic, former midfielder of the inter club. He had learned his lessons with the Primavera, and had notably caught the eye of Cristian Chivu, who has since become the coach of the first team. Having left to study in Lucerne in Switzerland and then at Club Bruges in Belgium, he has just had a very successful season, with a Belgian championship title, notable appearances in the Champions League and the title of best hope in the Jupiler League.
Inter therefore decided to recover his talent, and paid €23 million for it. Aged 20, a midfielder, like his illustrious father, he is delighted to find his favorite club. “It’s indescribable: I started playing football for Inter because my dream was to play at San Siro. For me, it’s an emotion that I still have to assimilate”he told the club’s official website. He signed a 5-year contract.
