Already author of a convincing season on an individual level with 19 goals in all competitions with Monaco, Folarin Balogun continues to attract attention during the 2026 World Cup. With the United States, he particularly distinguished himself with a remarkable start to the tournament, punctuated in particular by a double against Paraguay (4-1). Performances which allow him to appear in 6th place in the scorers ranking, tied with Matheus Cunha or Brian Brobbey, and which confirm his excellent dynamics at the highest level.

Unsurprisingly, these performances do not leave several European clubs indifferent. According to The Athleticthe Premier League is following his development very closely, especially as his status as a player trained at Arsenal and already appearing 10 times with the Gunners reinforces his attractiveness across the Channel. Interests also exist in Italy, while preliminary discussions have already begun without any path being put forward in concrete terms. Under contract with AS Monaco, the Rocher club would expect compensation of around 50 million euros, in a logic where Monaco wants to capitalize this summer, same thing for Akliouche and Lamine Camara. Aware that the timing is ideal for making a good sale, Monegasque leaders now seem open to a departure, which seems more and more inevitable in the event of a satisfactory offer after the World Cup.
