Tottenham want to hit hard. While the 2026 World Cup is currently in full swing, Spurs have planned to ignite the summer transfer window. And the London team was quick to make its mark with a first big move already completed: the arrival of Dutch defender Jan Paul Van Hecke from Brighton. Indeed, the Dutch international (14 caps), who is preparing to reunite with Roberto De Zerbi after their collaboration with the Seagulls, is about to be recruited for around 52 million pounds sterling (61 million euros).

The Spurs are active in all directions

But that’s not all. As announced by the English press in recent days, the priority file remains that of Sandro Tonali. The Italian midfielder from Newcastle is considered the flagship recruit desired by De Zerbi. Tottenham have already seen an offer of 75 million pounds rejected by the Magpies, who would demand up to 100 million pounds (or 117 million euros) to let their player leave. Despite competition from Arsenal and Manchester City, London leaders are continuing discussions. In attack, another prestigious name is circulating: Marcus Rashford.

The Manchester United striker is reportedly looking for a way out after his loan to FC Barcelona. Tottenham are carefully monitoring the situation but would not wish to pay the clause estimated at 40 million pounds (€47m). A lower offer could therefore be made in the coming weeks. And Spurs are also looking towards West Ham to strengthen their midfield. Targeted by Real Madrid and PSG, Mateus Fernandes is also among the profiles appreciated by De Zerbi. The Hammers would value their Portuguese international at around 80 million pounds (€93.6 million), which would make it one of the most expensive files in the London transfer window.

XXL ambitions for next season

Another offensive target? Savinho. The Brazilian winger from Manchester City is said to be in discussions with Tottenham as part of a deal valued at around 60 million pounds (€70.2m). His speed and ability to eliminate in one-on-one matches perfectly with the attacking style De Zerbi is looking for. Finally, London recruiters are keeping an eye on Kevin Denkey. The Togolese striker, author of notable performances in recent seasons, represents a more affordable option to strengthen the depth of the offensive sector. Its market value is estimated at around 15 million pounds (€17.6 million).

You will have understood, Tottenham casts a wide net and seems equipped with XXL resources during this summer window. If Spurs managed to conclude all of these operations, the total cost would reach around 347 million pounds sterling, or nearly 405 million euros. After several disappointing seasons, Tottenham seems, in any case, determined to offer Roberto De Zerbi the means to achieve his ambitions and to once again become a credible contender for European places.
