The world of French football is in mourning following the announcement of the death of Eric Roy, at the age of 58, from pancreatic cancer. The tributes have been one after the other for several minutes, which says a lot about the love and respect aroused by the French coach, a former professional player notably for Nice and Marseille. After Stade Brestois, which he had coached for 3 and a half years, it was PSG which paid tribute to Eric Roy.
“Paris Saint-Germain and its President send their most sincere thoughts to the family and loved ones of Éric Roy, as well as to the entire Stade Brestois 29 family. Éric was a respected and appreciated figure in French football. His journey and the exceptional work he accomplished in Brest will leave a lasting imprint. We share your pain on this day of mourning”
