While the World Cup has just started with the match between Mexico and South Africa, FIFA has revealed its new ranking. After its defeat against Ivory Coast, the France team, although victorious against Northern Ireland, lost its lead and even fell to third place in the ranking.
First place is taken by Argentina (a first since July 2025), which will therefore defend its World Cup title with this honorary position in the FIFA rankings. Spain, led by Lamine Yamal, occupies second place. In the top 10, Morocco is now positioned in 7th place, ahead of the Netherlands, which constitutes the best ranking in the history of the Atlas Lions.
