In a bid to strengthen their defense, Brighton are going on the offensive and have made an offer of 34.8 million euros to Tottenham to sign Luka Vuskovic according to The Athletic. Considered one of the world’s great prospects in his position, the Croatian international favors the Seagulls, a club he sees as the ideal springboard for his career. The defender is pushing for this move in order to reunite with coach Fabian Hürzeler, whom he worked with during his very successful loan spell at Hamburg last season.
Officially arriving at Spurs last year for around 13.9 million euros and under contract until 2030, Vuskovic has never started an official match with the London club. This XXL offer comes as Tottenham is courting Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke. Attracted by the Seagulls’ reputation with young talents and with mutual trust with the coach, the 19-year-old would be ready to take this new step in the Premier League.
