The 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season has barely ended when we have already discovered the calendar for the following year. After a good vintage which saw RC Lens challenge the supremacy of PSG for quite a long time and numerous twists and turns at the top of the table, the Professional Football League hopes to experience an equally gripping 2026-2027 vintage.
First phase with the publication of the main dates of the calendar, starting with the first day. Which will be played on August 21, 22 and 23. No multiplex therefore, with matches spread from Friday to Sunday. And the reigning champion will welcome Stade Rennais, for a first clash between two European teams. RC Lens will host Auxerre, OM will host Strasbourg for an already heated match and OL will travel to Toulouse. The two promoted teams, Troyes and Le Mans, will start the season at home, against Paris FC and Brest respectively.
The big posters
PSG will be entitled to a big start to the season since after welcoming Rennes, they will travel to LOSC on August 30, qualified for the Champions League. Then on September 20, there will be the first Classic with a trip to Marseille to face OM. A quick way to get into the swing of things! The first Olympico will take place on December 13, in Lyon (return to the Vélodrome on March 21, 2027). Lens will host PSG on January 3 before traveling to the Parc on February 28. The outward and return journeys will therefore be particularly close together.
Ligue 1 has also published the date of the most heated derbies. The one in the North, between LOSC and RC Lens (go on October 31, return on March 20), that of the Côte d’Azur between AS Monaco and OGC Nice (go on January 2, return on May 22) or the Parisian derby, between PSG and the PFC (go on December 12 and return on April 3).
We are also interested in the program for the 34th and final day, which will give rise to a crazy multiplex and the end of the suspense. No big shock to note, but probably high-stakes matches for maintaining and qualifying for European places. You can find the complete calendar, club by club, on the Ligue 1 application.
