Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada has broken his silence. Indeed, the businessman assured that the Premier League club, qualified for the next Champions League, would not allow itself to be influenced by market demands during its summer operations. The Red Devils intend to continue with a simple balance in the squad: experienced players and young talents. After the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Šeško and Senne Lammens for an investment exceeding 200 million euros, United want to welcome at least five additional recruits during the summer window.

If Atalanta midfielder Ederson is closing in on a signing after a deal believed to be worth around €38 million, Berrada does not appear to be unhappy. When questioned, the CEO also explained his next action plan. “The model of what we did last summer will be replicated. I think what we saw last season is a good way forward for us, which is we want a mix of experience and youth. We want a mix of players who have demonstrated they can perform in the Premier League and perhaps also players who are doing very well outside the league.”. The summer promises to be eventful at Old Trafford.
