RC Lens would be on the verge of losing a strong element of its workforce.

Six months and then gone? Arriving in Lens this winter from Mexico, Allan Saint-Maximin will, unless the situation changes, leave the north of France this summer.

This Thursday, the daily The Team reveals that the 29-year-old winger is in the process of joining MLS. The former Stéphanois has been talking with the Charlotte franchise for several weeks. And an agreement is now very close. The formalization would even be imminent, according to several sources.

Saint-Maximin will be “designated player”

At the end of the contract, Allan Saint-Maximin will join Chalotte free of any contract. He should be a “designated player”, that is to say one of the three players per club whose salary can exceed the ceiling set by MLS.

As a reminder, Saint-Maximin played 13 matches this season with the Sang et Or (all competitions), scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists.
