Broadcaster of the 2026 World Cup, M6 will not broadcast the friendly match between the France team and Ivory Coast on Thursday evening.

If M6 achieved the very big coup of the year on the TV rights market by offering itself the broadcast of 54 matches of the 2026 World Cup, including 34 during the group stage, the channel’s football experts will not be at the helm Thursday evening in Nantes, for the first friendly preparation meeting of the France team.

Opposed to the Ivory Coast on the Beaujoire lawn (at 9:10 p.m.), four days before challenging Northern Ireland in Lille, the Blues will indeed remain on TF1. La Une, which will not broadcast any North American World Cup matches (from June 11 to July 19), still has control when it comes to the Tricolores’ friendly matches.

Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu will therefore have two new opportunities to comment on the performances of Didier Deschamps’ players, before letting them fly to the United States where they will face Senegal (June 16), Iraq (June 22) and Norway (June 26). M6 will then take over, with Xavier Domergue and Benoît Cheyrou on the microphone.
