If the Mason Greenwood track remains Roma’s priority, the Italian club already has an alternative in mind. According to the Gazzetta dello SportIgor Paixão is among the options studied in the event of failure of negotiations with OM for the English striker. The Roman leaders are reportedly preparing a first offer of 40 million euros plus bonus for Greenwood, while Marseille are reportedly demanding at least 50 million.

Paixão would not, however, constitute an equivalent priority to Greenwood. Arriving last summer for 35 million euros, the Brazilian is coming off a successful season with 12 goals and 7 assists. A possible transfer would also present a financial advantage for OM, who would retain the entire compensation, unlike the Greenwood case where 40% of the amount would go to Manchester United.
