Enzo Maresca is tipped to succeed Pep Guardiola at the helm of Manchester City. The Italian knows the house well having been the Spaniard’s assistant during the 2022/2023 season, when the English club achieved the treble. He then took off, first with Leicester, then with Chelsea, before being left out of the first team last January after a series of poor results.

In the fall, the technician had confided to the management of the Blues that he was arousing the interest of Cityzens to take over from Guardiola. The London club did not accept this and threatened legal action. Ultimately, everything should be done amicably between the different lawyers, according to Sky Sports. Manchester will compensate Chelsea and once the agreement is finalized, Maresca can be announced by his new employer.
