Candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid and opponent of current president Florentino Pérez, Enrique Riquelme has decided to strike hard. Guest on the show El Hormiguerohe made several strong announcements in the event that he was elected. Raúl González Blanco would become the sporting director of Casa Blanca and Fernando Hierro would become director of La Fabrica. But what was expected was the name of Enrique Riquelme’s star recruit when he took charge of the club. Thus, he presented a notarized document committing him to sign Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker in the event that he was elected. A strong decision since the Norwegian striker was shielded by the Sky Blues until June 2034.

“Nothing from the club will ever be sold, and it will remain the exclusive property of the members. It is clearly stated here. If I fail to fulfill any of my commitments regarding these players (Rodri and Haaland), I have signed a guarantee stipulating that in the event of default, I will cover the entirety of the members’ contributions for the following season. He is a fantastic player who plays in a position that Real Madrid needs to strengthen. We spoke with his agent, we have to respect his club, but if I am president he will play for Real Madrid. I will do everything possible”he confided.
