Summoned with Italy for this international break without major competitive issues, Cher Ndour spoke of his attachment to his two origins as the 2026 World Cup approaches. While the Nazionale will once again miss the world meeting, for the third consecutive edition, the former Senegal midfielder indicated that he would support Senegal during the competition, despite his career essentially built in Italy.

“My mother is Italian, my father is Senegalese, but he has lived in Italy for almost 30 years. My culture is therefore almost entirely Italian. However, I also have close ties to Senegal, because I have family there and I often go there on vacation. I will support Senegal at the World Cup, since Italy, unfortunately, will not be there.. As a reminder, the Indomitable Lions are in the group of France, Norway and Iraq.
