Laurent Blanc is officially no longer the most successful coach in the history of PSG.

It’s over. Spent on the sidelines of Paris Saint-Germain between 2013 and 2016, Laurent Blanc lost his honorary title of most successful coach in the history of the capital club.

At the top of the rankings with 11 trophies won with the Rouge et Bleu, the 98 world champion saw Luis Enrique pass him by. And in what way!

Saturday evening in Budapest, Luis Enrique offered PSG the second Champions League in its history. The Spanish technician, who has become an icon in Paris, brought his total to 12 titles won as coach of the Parisian club. A record therefore.

Luis Enrique on track to smash the record

In addition to these two Champions Leagues, the former La Roja coach has to his credit: three Ligue 1s, three Champions Trophy, two Coupe de France, one European Super Cup and one Intercontinental Cup. And it’s probably not over yet. Indeed, Luis Enrique is still under contract with PSG until June 2027, and he could even soon extend his lease.

For his part, Laurent Blanc is free from any contract after his departure from Al-Ittihad at the end of last September after a 2-0 defeat against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr. We will now see if he will return to service next season.
