Sunday afternoon, Paris Saint-Germain was able to celebrate its second European Champion title with its supporters at the Champ-de-Mars, then at the Élysée and finally at the Parc des Princes during a spectacular moment of communion. But this second coronation was punctuated by excesses and violence in Paris and in several cities in France. The Minister of the Interior announced that there had been one death, more than 890 arrests and 178 police officers and gendarmes injured during the night from Saturday to Sunday.

Scenes of chaos and looting denounced by the president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi: “we are against that, we are not proud of that. A Parisian who supports PSG does not do that. I know the supporters, they are calm and intelligent. This is our city, we must protect it, not destroy it. We must protect the best city in the world, the image of Paris and Paris Saint-Germain. What if there were fans involved? We are not proud of them, we have to stop this”said the boss of PSG at the microphone of ICI Paris Ile-de-France.
