Stade Rennais is working hard to find its new right back for next season. If the path leading to the promising Tunisian U23 international Iyadh Riahi (Stade Tunisien) is studied, the Breton management has placed another profile in a good position: Antoine Hainaut. At 24, the former Boulogne player trained at RC Lens has made a brilliant name for himself on the other side of the Alps. Tracked by Angers and Auxerre last summer, he was finally the subject of a loan with an option to buy to Venice FC from Parma with whom he had scored 2 goals in 25 Serie A matches in 2024-25.

Capable of playing as a right midfielder but also as a right piston, Hainaut displays enormous versatility, great activity and a strong temperament which allowed him to have an impressive season in Serie B with 5 goals and 6 assists in Serie B, actively participating in the Italian club’s rise to Serie A. Faced with such a return, Venice quite logically exercised the purchase option which had been set at only 550,000 euros. A real affair which today has Parma biting its fingers, especially since several courtiers have come to the news. The Rouge et Noir, who are looking for exactly a player of his profile to energize their rearguard, are under the spell and appear ready to go crazy to recruit him according to our information. Internally, we are talking about an offer which could be around 10 million euros.
