Thanks to its performances in the Champions League, Barça are virtually qualified for the Club World Cup.

Thanks to its victory in the Champions League final against Arsenal this Saturday, the Paris Saint-Germain has officially validated its ticket for the next Club World Cup. Finalist of the 2025 edition, Luis Enrique’s players narrowly missed a perfect 2024-2025 season by winning all possible trophies.

Paris already qualified

If Luis Enrique will perhaps no longer be present and the Parisian squad will undoubtedly have undergone some changes by then, the Ile-de-France club is already qualified for the next edition, which will take place in 2029, thanks to its second consecutive title in the Champions League. Indeed, the last four winners of the Champions League are automatically qualified.

Barça is getting back on its feet

The other clubs will then have to win the Champions League or be among the 12 best European teams over the defined period (2025-2029), within the limit of two clubs per country. For the FC Barcelonawho missed the last edition, it seems to be going better. Thanks to their semi-final in 2025 and their quarter-final in 2026, the Blaugrana displays a total of 73 points (equivalent), which ranks them 4th in Europe and above all ahead Atletico Madrid (59 points) And THE
Real Madrid (57 points)which, at present, would not qualify. But three years before the competition, things should still evolve.

Arsenal leader but not qualified

For now, Arsenal is at the top of this “ranking” with 93 points, including 52 from this season, where they did not lose a match in regulation time, but missed their chance to qualify directly. Paris, already qualified, is 2nd with 89 points, while Bayern Munich completes the virtual podium with 77 points.
