No time for the observation round, Arsenal decided to attack their final hard. Against PSG, the Gunners only needed 6 minutes this evening to open the score in Budapest. It was German international Kai Havertz who started the hostilities.

Found in depth after a clearance from Marquinhos blocked by Trossard, the 26-year-old striker went to challenge Safonov before shooting powerfully with his left foot under the bar of the Russian goalkeeper. This is his second goal in the Champions League final after the one which allowed Chelsea to win against Manchester City in 2021.
