The Thiago Almada case is taking a concrete turn in South America. According to information from Diario Oléa first official meeting took place between the leaders of River Plate and the player’s entourage. The club’s sporting director and Francescoli spoke directly with the Argentinian midfielder and his representative in order to study the conditions for an arrival from this summer transfer window.
At the same time, the Buenos Aires club shows its confidence in the possibility of concluding the operation. Internally, River is already working on a reorganization of its financial resources to make this transfer possible, even if several parameters remain to be adjusted before taking concrete action. The file remains open, but interest is now fully assumed on both sides. Under contract until June 30, 2030 with Atlético de Madrid, River Plate will however have to be convincing.
