Last March, the France team got a taste of what awaits them this summer during the World Cup. Based in Boston, the Blues will have to manage the time difference and even the weather conditions to play in the best conditions. And obviously, the preparation will allow you to acclimatize a little, as Didier Deschamps explained at a press conference this Friday.

“We’ll settle down once we get to Boston. We performed well in March. Some people sleep better than others. Obviously things change. We saw this in March. Training times will not be the same. We didn’t have the problem of the heat in March, it was even cool… But yes, we made sure to choose solutions to combat the heat. There are protocols in place. We made choices. There will be long journeys to reach the different areas. There will also be media obligations, I want to protect the players so as not to have significant fatigue. Matches at 3 p.m.? I’ve already said it, the day is not the same, neither is the content. 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. are not the same. There is no muscular awakening at 3 p.m., lunch is brought forward. We’ll see once we get to Boston. Obviously, the days are not the same. We will focus on the athletic aspect to stock up on energy. We can’t change everything. There will be a reminder about that, we will have important athletic data. There will be ball too. We have a little time. From Monday we switch to the next match.
