D-2 before the Champions League final on Saturday in Budapest. And two days before the clash between Arsenal and PSG, the predictions are going well and for many, the club from the capital seems best placed to succeed itself.
The bookmakers have clearly made PSG their favorite. Whether in France like Betclic, which displays odds of 2.28 for a PSG victory and 3.20 for an Arsenal success, or in England, where William Hill is in the same waters with odds of 2.3 for PSG and 3.1 for Arsenal.
And the same is true of Opta, the statistics specialist. While it had given Arsenal favorite for the final victory in the Champions League for several months, the supercomputer changed its mind and now gives a 56.21% chance of winning to PSG compared to only 43.79% for Arsenal.
“Paris will miss its final”
Arsenal supporters will have to reassure themselves with the predictions of former glories of the club like Robert Pirès, totally convinced of the victory of the Gunners. Better, the 98 world champion imagines a poor success for the English champions. The fault in particular is the feeling of superiority which inhabits Luis Enrique’s men.
“Paris will simply miss out on its final. I could see that the Parisian players are less hungry. They were crowned champions of France, they will arrive in Budapest a little sure of themselves. They will be well countered and well turned on by the Arsenal players. This is why Paris will not win,”
he announced on Canal+.
